What is science? For instance, philosophy IS a science. It's the science that integrates the knowledge of all other sciences and determines the abstract principles that guide them in the pursuit of such knowledge.

Metaphysics is a science. Epistemology is a science. Ethics is a science. Politics is a science. Logic is a science. The idea that the science of physics doesn't need the science of philosophy is an absurd philosophical view.

Scientific results can't be proven true without a concept of truth, without an understanding of the relationship between physical reality and our consciousness of it.
