Over the economy. "Power" is way too abstract, needs to be concretized, and really "economy" is too abstract for most people. And I can prove that power over the economy is what political power means to most people, but how can anyone prove that's all anyone cares about? The economy, the market, whatever, is just businesses and individuals trading with each other. Why would anyone want power over that?
