Although I'm an unapologetic atheist, this is why religious people haven't burned me at the stake. 🙃 Philosophy is inescapable, and the proof always rears its head when "scientists" attack or, in this case, brush religion aside and attempt to steal its thunder. 😂 Intelligent design can't be proven, not scientifically, not by means of reason and logic, not by observation (obviously). That's the whole purpose of the concept. We can't know how the universe was created, only that its creation required an intelligence to be created, i.e., "designed". Science can't answer this question. If the "answer" anyone proposes includes direct evidence of the "designer", it's already disqualified by the greater (beyond human understanding) "intelligence". We can't study God. If we could, God wouldn't be God. That's philosophy, to me, but, regardless of which abstract system of principles anyone chooses to live by, concepts can't be accepted and denied at the same time.
