What you want (motive) and how you feel about it (emotion) are not the same thing. "Motivation" is simply an active perspective on the former. It's a very complicated philosophical topic, though -- basically all of ethics -- so I applaud the ambition, but if you differentiate reality and conscious -- thought and emotion, in this case -- properly, then there will be no dichotomy, or even simple inconsistency, between your values and emotions. In other words, are you really sure you really want what you think you want? 😂
